Jenn and I have always been drawn to adventure, often making bold decisions on a whim. With her career as a flight attendant and our shared love for exploration, traveling became a way of life for our family. Our children received their passports at just three weeks old, embarking on international journeys alongside us. By the ages of three and four, they had already taken to the skies over a hundred times, mirroring our passion for discovery.
Even amidst the chaos of childbirth, Jenn's adventurous spirit shone through. After delivering our youngest, she wasted no time in joining me for a swing dance session, mere hours after the arrival. It was a testament to her zest for life and the vibrant energy she brought to every moment.
While many admire our unconventional lifestyle, I've always known it's not for the faint of heart. The routine of a 9-to-5 job has never suited us; we thrive as free spirits, living life to the fullest at every opportunity.
However, since Jenn's passing, the skies have become a bittersweet reminder of what once was. Unable to bear the weight of memories, I made the decision to trade in airplanes for a camper van, embarking on a journey across the country with our children in tow.
Our adventure began on June 5th from California, with plans to roam for the next three months, exploring as many as 40 states. Though I anticipate we'll cover closer to 30 or 35, the challenge remains an integral part of our journey—an ode to Jenn's daring spirit.
In addition to our travels, I'll be reuniting with my two other children near Montreal on June 26th, extending our summer escapades for another six weeks. And to our friends scattered across the globe and the USA, know that our door—and our arms—are always open. If you find yourself in need of company, conversation, or simply a warm embrace, don't hesitate to reach out. We may just cross paths on our winding road of adventure.
