On the fateful Saturday of January 22, 2022, our dear friend Jennifer endured a tragic accident when she was struck by a car while walking with her young son near their residence in Arcata, California. In a heroic display of maternal instinct, Jennifer instinctively shielded her son from harm, bearing the brunt of the impact herself, ensuring his safety. We are grateful to report that her son emerged from the incident unscathed.
Immediately following the accident, Jennifer was swiftly transported to a local hospital for assessment. Subsequently, due to the severity of her injuries, she was airlifted later that evening to a hospital in Santa Rosa. Her injuries were extensive, comprising numerous fractures, including a fractured pelvis, and significant traumatic injuries to the brain.
Regrettably, despite the valiant efforts of medical professionals and the unwavering support of her loved ones, Jennifer’s injuries proved insurmountable, and she passed away on January 30th. Her loss leaves a profound void in our lives, but her selfless act of protecting her son in her final moments stands as a testament to her extraordinary character and love for her family.
